Holdy Battery (Essex)

One thing that Miss Drop 44 has over almost all other group is that we own over 10 acres of land. We hold several training weekends/meets per years and fine tune all our impressions, practice how to act like WW2 paratroopers and brush up on those basic skills that they would have all been trained in. As well as having fun too!

This weekend we started work on a German artillery battery, to represent something similar to those guns that the 502 helped capture early in the Normandy invasion. Using some of amazing photographs taken after they guns were captured as a reference, it should eventually look pretty impressive. Even without the 4 105mm artillery guns we would be missing! (maybe one day we will acquire some)
